Here’s an example of how I developed one of the regions in The Machines Arena. I start by drafting key questions each region must answer: What faction or characters are involved? What is the setting? What key events take place? From there, I arrange and rearrange these elements to explore connections and refine the region’s structure.
I use image references from our world to add depth and help visualise the atmosphere and architecture. It helps foster my creativity and keeps my ideas fluid while maintaining a cohesive vision
